Overall the boat was ok but not much space. Yet, there were not many people so I could use 3 seats and lie down. Windows are yellow (maybe to reflect the sun) so you cannot see outside from the boat, you need to go out. Takes 7 hours, slow.
It's not glamorous but a fabulous experience. The boat left very late, about 1.5 hours after schedule, so don't plan on getting there at 7am (30mins before scheduled departure). 8.30 would have been fine. Regardless, we loved it. Definitely recommend.
We were too many people forced to sitt tightly in a minibus which in high speed and without breakes went toward Phu Quoc Island. Scary! The border between KAmbodja and Vietnam was taking unsecure: the Vietnaese site wanted extramoney for a faster procedur
Great trip, sitting on the roof of the boat en seeing the fantastic scenery of the lake and rivers! Sunshine and nice people. The trip to the boat (pick up at hostel) was very bad organizes - next time we would take a taxi.
The bus was on time and punctual. The driver almost backed over my partner on the bordercrossing. The van was a bit worn, and with almost full bus it was a bit exhausting. Giving away passport with little information what is happening is also scary.
We were on the speed boat to Siem Reap. The journey was shorter than predicted, around 6,5h. The boat was fairy comfortable despite the age. Simple but good air con. Boy was selling cold drinks and baguettes. Overall pleasant experience. Amazing views!
Great trip, highly recommend. Arrived 2 hours early in Phnom Penh. But if I had booked with a local agent I would have been picked up from my hotel. As it was I had to arrange my own transport to the port 16km away.
A good trip - definitely worth it if you like boats and have a robust approach to safety. Take sensible precautions for Sun and when moving around the outside of the boat - life jackets are available. Slightly overpriced possibly
